Horwich Farrelly Invests in Future Legal Talent

Insurance litigation practice, Horwich Farrelly, is to award an additional 11 training contracts in March 2011, boosting trainee numbers to 22.

Horwich Farrelly which advise blue chip insurers such as Aviva, Admiral and Brit, currently employs over 350 staff across its offices in Manchester, Sheffield and Chelmsford.

The trainees will be based at the firm’s Manchester & Chelmsford offices and will undertake an intensive training programme within the firm.

Chief executive, Anthony Hughes, said, “Horwich Farrelly has its sights firmly set on growth and we can only do this by bringing in good people which echoes the firm’s ethos of developing raw talent. It is also a sign of our investment in the future.

“In addition to our extensive training programme, Horwich Farrelly has an apprentice scheme and supports NVQs in Business Administration and Teamleading. The 11 new trainees are: Catherine Jenkinson who will work in the Manchester Claimant department; Keith Morgan and Fiona McDaid who will both be based in the Manchester Costs department.

Sophie Castel, Garath Keating, Paul Taylor and Chris Drew join the Manchester Defendant Fraud department; and Christopher McGowan and Charlene McConville will join the Manchester Defendant department.

Stephanie Gason will head to the Brentwood Defendant Fraud department.
