The Horwich Farrelly Costs Department has been handling volume third party costs negotiations for defendant insurers and panel solicitors on road traffic accident, employer liability and public liability matters since 2001, during which time we have saved insurers over £120 million in this area alone.
We receive in excess of 70,000 cases per year, ranging from predictive costs cases to significant bills on high value claims, which are handled through a sophisticated, bespoke case management system. The savings for insurers in 2009 alone run in to millions of pounds.
Our national presence and expertise is demonstrated by our involvement in a number of test cases for insurers concerning third party costs. We deal with issues including the recoverability of:
